Tribute to Shirley Benton

Our beloved member Shirley Benton passed away on the morning of Thursday September 13, 2012. Shirley joined DSFAA in 1997 and became one of the "working members". She was the Hospitality Chairman for many years, Treasurer for five years, cheerfully served on every committee, stepped in to help when ever she was needed. Shirley rarely missed a meeting and was a treasured asset to DSFAA. She organized the mural painting for the Pilot Club at "Kidz Corner" and was there every Saturday until it was finished. Every project she did was given her best effort, she was always there to help, inspire, to bless and to support the arts. Her gift of time was a blessing not only to DSFAA  members but to the entire community.  She was a positive influence to everyone around her. DSFAA has lost a valued member and she will be sadly missed.  By : Bonnie Williams  Service for DSFAA Member Shirley BentonThis is the information I received from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church this morning. Seale Funeral Home-Viewing on Sunday, September 16th from 5:00 p.m-8:00 p.m. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church-Viewing on Monday, September17th from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. with services beginning at 10:00 a.m.
